Founded in 2016, Lancashire Hill is an energetic HMO (House of Multiple Occupancy) management company, operating in Blackpool and surrounding areas offering high-end, boutique house share opportunities to working professionals.
We don't do average, we don't do 'just rooms' and the words “its only a renter” are forbidden in our houses. Creating beautiful spaces for like minded people to share as a home is our passion, and we work really hard to make sure our tenants absolutely love living with us. We're building homes, a culture and a community here and everything we do is toward that endeavour.
In July 2019, Lancashire Hill Developments was launched, giving us autonomy over the end product that our lucky tenants get to call home. We design and develop homes that our tenants, investors and we, can all be really very proud of.
We didn't just fall into this by accident, this was our mission. We did our research and started from scratch with one personally sourced, renovated and managed four bedroom shared house, to learn what it means to own and run a HMO as a Landlord. Our product offering is underpinned by thoroughly researched and experience enhanced local area knowledge, choosing the right area and the right type of house. We have developed brilliant working relationships with experienced tradespeople who understand the high standards and specification we insist on throughout the portfolio.
We carefully design and tastefully furnish our properties, sparing no expense to ensure we are fully compliant with all regulations and obligations of running a HMO in Blackpool. We have tried and tested it all for you. As a property owner, we know what worked for us, but we checked with our tenants too and know exactly what to offer to guarantee their loyalty to our business for the future.
This venture has been created to expand our offering into the management of properties to fellow Landlords based locally and further afield, since we have such a good understanding of the kind of service which simply isn’t readily available in this town. We are expanding organically into this exciting market, with the right people and the right systems to ensure a specific outcome for our customers.
We only take on properties after careful consideration to ensure what we offer remains exclusive, fits our profile and attracts the highest quality tenant. Our goal is to be the preferred and leading HMO management company on the Fylde Coast and we will work tirelessly to achieve this through honouring our promises to both Landlord and Tenant for the duration of our relationship. Nicola Torbett - Lancashire Hill Ltd, Founder and Director
Nicola's property journey began in 2000 when, as a Business Studies Graduate, she worked as a letting agent in the bustling city of Brighton and Hove. Whilst conducting viewings of the less appealing accommodation in the city, Nicola was later inspired to create something quite different. After a decade of Policing followed by over two years prestige automotive Sales Management she developed not only the capital and experience to launch her property investing career but a deep understanding of the need to deliver exceptional customer service and build trust in business relationships. Carving a niche in the 'multi-let' market through the supply of high-end, beautiful and functional co-living spaces to discerning tenants is the main objective of the business; a strategy which is complemented by the extraordinary offering to Landlords and Investors. As host of the Blackpool & Preston Progressive Property Network for two years, Nicola established strong connections as well as a thorough understanding of the market in Blackpool. In 2020 she was joined by Co-Living Host Jodie who looks after the day to day running of Lancashire Hill, releasing Nicola to grow the portfolio whilst maintaining our unrivalled standards.

Jodie joined Lancashire Hill in 2020 as the business expanded, needing an extra pair of hands and fully committed heart!
Jodie’s interest in property began at at early age. The daughter of a ‘time served’ engineer and general builder, she understands what it takes to transform buildings from ‘wreck’ to ‘wow’, making her the ideal candidate to keep the core values of the business on track as we expand with more homes and more housemates. Jodie is a natural with people and our business thrives on good relationships.
She ensures that the high standards of our brand are religiously maintained on a day to day basis, that our homes are always beautifully presented and our tenants are well looked after. Viewings and handling applications, check in and out, as well as dressing our spaces in between tenancies and organising maintenance works are just some of the things that keep her busy.
The business could not deliver the exceptional service we are committed to on the scale we have now reached, without Jodie.
