Lancashire Hill is a small, friendly and passionate house share management company. But, our Business isn’t really houses, or even homes, its people. People like you, and the people who live with us, in the homes we look after.

How does it work? Our housemates take a tenancy on their room and they share the communal areas of the house with each other. When one leaves, we choose someone else for the house. They are working professionals, some from a healthcare background and lots from other industries. Some are just here for work, some are local. Some stay for months, many stay for years.

We are expanding and we are on the look out for nice people to join our crew.

Co Living Host

0 to 20 hrs p/week - varies with needs of the business. £12.50 p/h.

What is a Co-Living Host? This is what we call the very important - feet on the ground - role, of looking after our houses and our housemates.

It’s a hybrid role, ‘part housekeeper - part letting assistant blended with a bit of hospitality’ - We allocate you a house (or two or three). We do all the admin and paperwork for the tenancies and you will take care of the people and the place when they get there. Best of all, it’s pretty flexible so we can more of less work around your availability.

How will you do that? Fundamentally, our houses need to be kept clean and tidy. They need to be well maintained and well looked after so that they continue to be the fantastic homes that they started out as.

Here is a list of responsibilities which can be done, more or less, to suit your availability;

  • Bi weekly cleaning of communal areas, usually 2-3 hours at a time.

  • Viewings with prospective housemates (after we have prequalified them)

  • Deciding if you think they are a good fit for the house

  • Check ins with successful applicants with inventory video

  • Pre check out meetings with exiting housemates

  • End Tenancy room check - after the housemate has left.

  • Deep clean the room at the end of the tenancy - 1 to 2 hours a time

  • Dressing the room for viewings, we will train you how to make the bed look amazing

  • Prepare the room for check in - taking the bedding off again

  • Regular tidy ups of the house - throwing away takeaway tubs, odd socks, sorting post!

  • Meeting Contractors occasionally - plumbers, electricians, fire safety etc

  • Fire Alarm tests

  • Chatting with housemates when you see them

  • Nagging them on the WhatsApp when they get lazy

  • Reminding them its bin day on whatsapp

  • Keeping an eye on & responding where needed to the house whatsapp chat

  • Celebrating our housemates life achievements

  • Commiserating with them over disappointments

  • Liaison with the admin team

  • Topping up the household essentials

Handyman or Handy-Honey

If you’re a handy human, we’d love to chat about how we can use your services at our house-shares in your locality. Our housemates aren’t always that great at basic ‘adulting’ and we need someone close by to get things sorted. Anything from wobbles, blockages, slams, leaks, bulbs, creaks and breakages….if this is something you could help with, please get in touch.
